I had better get that pillow taken out soon.

Ella: Mom, do you know what I like that you did?
Me: What did I do that you liked?
Ella: You went to the doctor and got a new friend for me called Lily.

...Pause...

Ella: Maybe you need to go to the doctor again today, and get a new friend for dad.
Me: Probably not.
Ella: But, I knowed you had a pillow in your tummy for Lily.
Me: How do you know that?
Ella: I can see it. (Points to my not quite flat yet tummy.)

What's in Lily's mouth?

It's a Tyranosaurus Rex!
Almost every question asked into our house lately ends with the answer "T-Rex."

Me (at the bridal show): Ella which diamond ring do you like the best? Ella: T-Rex.

Me: What do you want for lunch? Ella: Ummm, do we have T-Rex?

My mom: Cait, which princess do you like the best?
Cait: Cinderella.
Ella: I like T-Rex.

Last week while we were camping, we all took turns contributing to a story that Justin started. Of course when it was Ella's turn she said, "Then T-Rex came and ate all the people."

Today Ella was asked to give a talk in Sharing time next month. When I asked her if she would be willing to give a talk, she got very excited about it. She was even more excited when I mentioned that she could help me write the talk, and I'd let her draw pictures to show the kids. Then I asked a question, I should have already known the answer to. I asked her what she wanted to talk about. I shouldn't have asked.
She promptly replied, "Dinosaurs, and I can draw a picture of T-Rex." She was so excited, she wanted to go back to church right then, and give her talk on Dinosaurs tonight.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can incorporate T-Rex into a two minute talk that's supposed uplift children & teach them gospel principles?

To answer everyones' question

Tyler decided to spend Saturday morning talking to Agents in pursuit of the perfect Realtor. Ella finds meetings with Realtors incredibly boring. I have to admit, I wasn't too excited to meet with them myself. We decided it would be easier for everyone if we left Tyler with the boring job, and head up to La Caille with my mom and Trisha for a fun bridal event. No, none of us are currently engaged to be married, but we still like to look at pretty jewelry, gowns, flowers, & etc. It was a perfect way to spend a Saturday morning.

Aye, aye, pirate Lily

Ella: Mom, it's not Halloween.
Me: I know.
Ella: Then why did you put Lily in a pirate costume today? (The patch was not on her eye at the time this conversation took place).
Me: It's not a costume, it's a sailor looking outfit. It's the only clean thing she had to wear today.
Ella: Aye, aye, pirate Lily!

Ella wears a polo halter top camping

Lily

Last night was so cold, I hardly slept. I finally fell asleep around 7 this morning. My mom decided to be helpful, and get Ella dressed while Lily and I took a morning nap. She came and asked me where Ella's cloths were. I told her they were in my car. Then she said, "Do you have the clothes she wore yesterday?" (So I wouldn't have to get up.) Without thinking much (because I was so tired) I handed her Lily's jeans, and shirt. Later that morning when I got up, I found Ella sporting this "polo halter" top, and "capris". I don't know how my mom and Trisha managed to get Lily's clothes to actually fit Ella, the pants were pretty tight.

After dinner at Crown Burger & A parade. We listened to some bands while we waited for fireworks.
Ella posed as the letter "P" for quite some time.

Cait & Ella Danced.

& Danced.

Until it was dark. Everyone loved the fireworks. Even Lily.

Duh Mom!

Ella: Can I buy this toy?
Me: Nope.
Ella: Why not?
Me: You only have $1, and it costs $4.
Ella: How could I get more money?
Me: Maybe you could do some jobs for me, and I could pay you to work. It might take you a while to earn that much though.
Ella: Or maybe I could just buy some more money with my dollar.
(She said this with a "Like, Duh!" kind of tone, like she thought I was a complete idiot for not suggesting her brilliant solution.) I'm looking forward to her teenage years.

Ella: We want out! We want out! We want out!
Tyler: Who's we?
Ella: We are Ella's toes, we like to be cold.
