Ella & Lily were very good today as we ran around town choosing out brick for our house and then a fireplace, then we had to stop by the bank, accountant's office, & other very boring house and business errands.
Above is a picture of Ella & Lily entertaining themselves on a spinning chair as we chose out a fireplace. We already have the mantel (which we got for $200 instead of the original price of $2,500... YAY!) but we needed the actual fireplace.
We chose the brick shown above. Our roof will be a black color. Our trim will be white. We can't decide if we should go with a pale yellow (a little darker than shown above) hardy plank, or a "Misty Surf" colored hardy plank. What would you choose? Originally we were going to do an off-white colored hardy plank... too boring?

I don't know what a hardy plank is, and I am very bad at making decisions... so I can't help you. But nice job on the mantel deal! I swear you always get good deals somehow.
I like the idea of the off white, but my second choice would probably be the Misty Surf, I like that it has a little green in it, not just blue.
I actually like the off white. I think it will feel clean and classy and stay in style longer? I do like the blue color though too.

You don't know me so my opinion may not count for much. But I do really love decorating so I must say - go with the pale yellow!! It'll make everything bright and happy. I love that color.
I would pick a sage green, or the second choice is the yellow. Blue houses were popular in the 70's

I like the idea of the off white since it is classic & timeless but if you go with a color I like the Misty Surf better than the yellow :)
