Neighborhood friends

After school today we had a few of the neighbor girls come over to decorate the pumpkins we bought last week. We thought it would help Ella feel more comfortable on the school bus if she knew the kids she was riding with... plus now she has some new friends that live near us.
We had a great time decorating pumpkins, coloring, reading spooky books, playing games, & eating cupcakes.

This little "mini party" only cost about $5 ($1.50 cupcakes from Wal-Mart & inexpensive mini pumpkins from the patch.) The kids had a great time. They told me they wanted to come to another little party next week. Even though there weren't too many kids, and I kept it very simple... these little parties can be exhausting, maybe we'll have another one... maybe in February.
